Grammar- How it Works
- Me: If I say, "I feel remiss", is that correct?
- Mom: In what context?
- Me: Well "remiss" is the adjective form, there's no verb form, so if I said "I would feel remiss if I didn't-" like eat cake or something, what ever, that makes sense right?
- Mom: Well if it's the adjective form, then yes, it just sounds off.
- Me: Man I love English.
- Mom: Sometimes.
- Me: Nope, all the time; it's a big pile of shit.
- -Mom laughs-
- Dad: Yup! Exactly.
