Video games with online passes - are they fair?
What do you fair and fine people think of the one-time-use codes such as the “online pass” or “VIP pass” sort of things being featured in games over the past year or so? Is it unfair? Is it a bullshit way for companies to make more money? Or are these passes fair to the developer, evening the playing field as used game sales give no money to the developer? Should people care? Do you care?
Ex. Battlefield Bad Company 2, Mass Effect 2, Homefront, Dragon Age, Medal of Honor, most EA Sports games, most anything from EA actually, Rage, etc.
